Wow – enjoying an Indian summer with temperatures in the high teens and beautiful blue skies. Fabulous walking coupled with a fabulous cottage – comfy, cosy and homely – made for a great holiday. Skye and Ellie, our two cockers, have had fun too. Extra excitement in the Cavern this week – filming Houdini and Doyle for ITV 2016 – look out for this drama filmed in Castleton near the antique shop and in the Peak Cavern.
We have had a lovely few days, really peaceful and beautiful location. Lovely September sunshine, the Italian, 1530, is great!
We have had a lovely week, cottage very comfortable. Loved Castleton, one of the best villages we have stayed in during various stays in the Peaks. Tried most of the pubs for evening meals – highly recommend them all. Will definitely be back, week went so fast.
