Introduction Our property is a comfortable holiday cottage situated in Castleton, Derbyshire. The cottage is situated on Peak Cavern Walk, reasonable close to the entrance of Peak Cavern. Car parking and key collection Parking is at the Peak Cavern car park, which is approximately 150 metres away. The key for the door is in a coded safe
Entrance to property The entrance to the property is up a step (16 cm high) through a gateway (73 cm wide) on to a cobbled path. The front door is 73 cm wide and is has a threshold 15 cm high. The keyhole lock is 155 cm from the pathway
Halls, stairs, landing, passageways The cottage lounge is directly inside the front door with the stairs to upstairs immediately in front of you. There is a gap 70 cm wide into the lounge area. Floors and stairs are wood or wood laminate. There are 12 stairs, 23 cm deep and 20 cm high. A further step at the top takes you either into the twin room or on to the landing leading to two further bedrooms and bathroom
Lounge and dining room Floors are wood laminate with rugs. Wood burning stove. The furniture is moveable. One leather double sofa, one triple leather sofa and one fabric standalone chair. TV and Freeview box, DVD/CD player. Dining table and six chairs. The dining table is 73 cm from the floor, 188 cm long and 89 cm wide. Chairs are moveable with padded seats
Kitchen The aperture between kitchen and lounge area is 70cm. The worktop height is 90cm. Gas oven with left hand hinged door, gas grill with drop down door and gas hob. Sink at worktop height plus cupboards underneath. Front-loading dishwasher 45cm wide. Flooring is linoleum tile effect. Floorings ridge with freezer compartment. Microwave, kettle and toaster on work surface
Bedrooms and sleeping areas (upstairs) Double bedroom 1. Door width 65 cm. Double bed (4’ 6” wide). Bed height 55 cm. Non-feather duvet and pillows provided. Distance around bed varies from 60 cm to 90 cm Double bedroom 2. Door width 65 cm. Double bed (4’ 6” wide). Bed height 56 cm. Non-feather duvet and pillows provided. Distance around bed varies from 40 cm to 60 cm Twin bedroom. Door width 70cm. Two single beds (3’ wide). Bed height 53 cm. Non-feather duvet and pillows provided. Distance to one side of each bed bed 70 cm
Bathroom (upstairs) Door width 70cm. Electric shower over bath. Non-slip mat provided for the bath. Bath height is 53 cm. Toilet seat height 44 cm. Space beside toilet 12 cm to the right, 15 cm to the left. Flooring is tiled. Washbasin is 82 cm from the floor
Additional information Heating is provided by gas central heating throughout with the option of additional heating from a wood-burning stove. Radiators in the lounge, bedrooms and bathroom. Wireless Internet access is provided. The property is no smoking throughout. Well-behaved dogs are welcomed. We monitor guest feedback regularly and will make changes where possible
